Ways to read this site
The homepage example has one set of words and choices, offered several ways. None of them is a lesser version.
- Text view shows the whole example as text, with every passage, its source link and every reading.
- Quiet lays the same page flat with no art, scene or motion, and keeps every choice, including writing your own reading and making a reading path.
- The site follows your system's reduced-motion setting, and the appearance can be Light or Dark.
- Without JavaScript, the homepage shows a text version of the example and the full essay.
- Everything can be reached with a keyboard. Quotations are real text, not images.
What has been checked
Automated checks in desktop and mobile browser engines covered keyboard order and focus, text contrast, zoom and reflow, reduced motion and the no-script version. This is not a formal conformance claim, and it is not a substitute for testing with people who use assistive technology.
Known limits
- The type printed on the 3D book is a picture of a page: browser text-size settings enlarge the Text view, Quiet, captions, controls and the rest of the site, but not that printed type.
- Speech output with screen readers has not yet been tested.
- The sample library is an earlier interactive page and has not been re-checked in this release.
