What makes it different: the copy, not just the title
Library Twin tracks the individual physical copy. A work, an edition and the specific book on your shelf are kept as distinct linked records, so two copies of the same book keep their own location, condition, provenance, inscriptions, loans and reading history. Most catalogues record the title alone and cannot tell one of your copies from another. How work, edition and copy differ.

- Bring a shelf into your library. Add books a shelf at a time, including by photographing shelves. Uncertain matches are shown for you to review rather than guessed at silently.
- Find a book. Start from a half-remembered clue or thought, and reach the exact copy you own, its recorded place, and who has borrowed it.
- Explore a real question. Ask about one book or several—comparing themes, quotations, passages, characters and ideas, with follow-up questions and reading paths.
- Understand yourself through your books. Reader-led reflection that begins with the books themselves. Personal notes enrich it but are never required.
- Bring family collections together. Inherited and shared collections keep their separate copies, provenance, inscriptions and history, with selective sharing.

Library Twin has not been released. First release: United States, for adults 18 and over. Membership enrollment is closed, and pricing and the release date have not been announced. The capabilities described above are what the product is being built to do; they are not a claim that it has completed release testing.
